Earl's Villas offer luxury contemporary accommodation for a city breaks in Chester, England.

What made you decide to start offering self-catering accommodation?

I used to be the managing director of a multi-million pound company but tired of the hectic long hours lifestyle of the corporate world I decided to invest in property in Chester where I've a particular fondness and move to Ibiza with its more relaxed atmosphere.

What were your guiding aims when starting your business?

Drawing on my experience in the business world and of extensive travelling I knew to be successful it'd be important to:

1) Have successful marketing
2) Make it as easy as possible for customers to make a booking
3) Offer customers quality accommodation and provide good after sales service
4) As I travel extensively I'd need a way of managing my bookings from different locations

Putting it in to practice meant having:
1. Advertising in various portals
2. Create a professional looking website that really helped sell the property and that was "Google" friendly and made it easy for customers to make a booking there and then.
