Cornwall Apartment Holidays offer high quality, modern accommodation for professional couples and older families.  Both of our apartments have panoramic sea views and are 5 star rated – and our Falmouth apartment recently won a gold award also from the tourist board.

Why did you decide to add online booking to your website?

We liked the fact it was easy for customers to use and that it'd been customised to match the owner's website.

When we bought our first apartment in 2006 we did a lot of research as to how best to market our property.  We spent a lot of time looking at other owners’ websites and cherry picked the best ideas for our site.  It was on another owner’s site we found the online booking system from Holiday Bookings Online.  We liked the fact it was easy for customers to use and that it'd been customised to match the owner's website.

We holiday regularly in both the UK and abroad and our desire for online booking was based on our experiences of booking holidays ourselves.  Where the owner offers live online booking and availability it's just so much easier to make a booking than having to deal with emailing back and forth or even worse doing things by post.  We therefore felt it was essential that our new holiday website should have live availability and booking.

What made you choose Holiday Bookings Online as your online booking software provider?

We liked the fact the Holiday Booking System offered live availability - so any new bookings or changes made were instantly reflected on our website.

We'd seen the Holiday Bookings Online system on another owner’s website and we were attracted by its ease of use for making online bookings and that it offered an option to be customised to match the website style.  Our apartments are of a high quality and aimed at professionals - if our website and booking system were not of a similar high standard we felt this would reflect badly on our properties and see a loss of bookings. 

We took a free trial with Holiday Bookings Online and that enabled us to test out the admin side of things as well as the customer booking pages.  We found setting up our property, price and booking details to be simple and when we did need support Holiday Bookings Online were readily available with comprehensive advice and were quick to respond.

How has the booking system helped your business?

The Holiday Bookings Online system has helped make managing our business much easier - certainly much better than trying to run it off a spreadsheet.

We holiday ourselves regularly and having the online booking system means we can carry on taking bookings whilst away and enable us to manage our bookings even when abroad.

We also like the fact that the booking system records who referred a booking.  This has enabled me to see at the end of a year which advert has generated the most bookings and therefore saves me money by removing and replacing poorly performing advertisers.

We also find that having the past-customer data stored is a real time-saver.  Often returning customers email to re-book and I can quickly find them on the system and add their booking without having to type their details in again.

We've been using Holiday Bookings Online right from the start of our business over three years ago and because the system is so simple to use I've not really had to contact their support people very often but when I do they are always quick to reply and efficient in their responses.
